Submissions

Requirements:

A) Original Research Paper

In order for submissions to be considered for the printed publication, your paper must be:

Historically focused. Papers may be written for classes in departments other than History as long as they contain an argument that substantially analyzes historical evidence in support of its thesis. These departments include but are not limited to Latin American Studies, African and African American Studies, Asian Studies, Sociology, Political Science, and Religion.
3000-7500 words (about 10-25 pages) in length
Arial or Times New Roman, Double-spaced, 12 pt. font
Footnotes formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style with a bibliography included
Not previously published in any other journal
Written while an undergraduate student at Rice University.

B) Original Book Review

In order for submissions to be considered for the printed publication, your book review must be:

Historically focused. Papers may be written for classes in departments other than History as long as they contain an argument that substantially analyzes historical evidence in support of its thesis. These departments include but are not limited to Latin American Studies, African and African American Studies, Asian Studies, Sociology, Political Science, and Religion.
500-1500 words (about 2-7 pages double-spaced) in length
Arial or Times New Roman, Double-spaced, 12 pt. font
Footnotes formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style with a bibliography included
Not previously published in any other journal
Written while an undergraduate student at Rice University.
